  • Information A medida que el CO2 se disuelve en el agua del mar aumenta el pH del agua, lo que se conoce como acidificación. Los océanos absorben aproximadamente un tercio del CO2 emitido a la atmósfera a partir de la quema de los combustibles fósiles. No obstante, este valioso servicio tiene un elevado costo ecológico, a saber, la acidificación de los océanos.
