They comprise polycultures, monocultures, and mixed systems, including crop-livestock systems (rice-fish), agroforestry, agro-silvo-pastoral systems, aquaculture as well as rangelands, pastures and fallow lands. Their interactions with human activities, including socio-economic activity and sociocultural diversity, are determinant.
