Definition

  • Information Geostationary satellites are positioned above the equator at an altitude of about 36,000 km and rotate with the earth. They always provide data covering the same view, for example all of Europe. The advantage of a geostationary satellite is that it delivers frequent updates and images over the same area around the clock.
