  • Information Fisheries targeting bait fish, small-sized fish species typically abundant in marine or freshwater ecosystems. Both recreational and commercial fishers catch bait fishes with the intention of using the fish to attract larger, predatory fish species to traps, hooks, or other fishing gears.
