  • Information A term used by a fisheries management agency which refers to the range of allowable catch for a species or species group. It is set each year by a scientific group created by the management agency. The agency then takes the allowable biological catch estimate and sets the annual total allowable catch (TAC).

Lo fija cada año un grupo científico creado por esta Agencia de administración pesquera. La captura biológica permisible (CBA), surge a partir de las evaluaciones de abundancia y los distintos riesgos que se asumen teniendo en cuenta los puntos biológicos de referencia. La Agencia toma la estimación de la CBA para establecer la captura total permisible anual (CTP).
