Community-supported agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between local farmers and consumers in which the responsibilities, risks and rewards of farming are shared. Typically, members or "share-holders" of the farm or garden pledge in advance to cover the anticipated costs of the farm operation and farmer's salary. In return, they receive shares in the farm's bounty throughout the growing season, as well as satisfaction gained from reconnecting to the land and participating directly in food production.

Type d’agriculture où le client établit un partenariat avec un agriculteur de sa communauté en s’engageant à acheter d’avance sa part des récoltes pour une période déterminée. Celui-ci offre aux agriculteurs la garantie d’un revenu tôt en saison et la possibilité de planifier d’avance la production et les récoltes, tout en assurant aux citoyens le privilège d’un lien direct avec le producteur.
